Vassar offers group tours for high schools and community-based organizations looking to bring 10 or more students for a walking campus tour. Groups wishing to visit Vassar should complete the group tour request form at least three weeks prior to the date requested. Group visits will only be scheduled Monday – Friday at either 11:30am or 3:00pm, based on availability. We have limited availability during the summer due to our reduced tour guide staff.Request a Group Tour

When are group tours offered?
Group tours are offered Monday through Friday at either 11:30 am or 3:00 pm.
When should I submit a group tour request?
Please complete the group tour request form at least three weeks prior to the planned visit.
What does a group tour entail?
Upon arrival to the Admissions Office, groups will be greeted by an admission officer and introduced to their tour guide(s). The tour guide(s) will then lead the group on an hour-long walking tour of our campus. The tours are geared towards high school-aged students and provide information on the academic, residential, and student life experience at Vassar College.
How many students can attend a group tour?
We are only able to accommodate groups with fewer than 50 individuals. Additionally, we recommend 1 chaperone to every 10 students.
May we eat on campus?
Our office is not able to provide or coordinate meals. However, group coordinators may reach out to Campus Dining (845-437-5830) to discuss on campus dining options.
Will a Q&A session be provided?
We do not provide Q&A sessions unless requested at the time of the initial group tour request. If requested, a Q&A session is not guaranteed due to staffing constraints. If granted, the Q&A session will be conducted by an admission officer and will last approximately 30 minutes.
When should I plan to arrive for a group tour?
Groups are required to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled tour time. If a group is more than 15 minutes late after their scheduled tour time, we cannot guarantee the tour.
