The Vassar View program is designed to provide prospective students from diverse backgrounds an introduction into the academic and social experiences at Vassar College. During the three-day program, participants have opportunities to interact with faculty, take a tour, hear current student perspectives, attend presentations about Vassar admissions and financial aid, as well as dine with professors and students.

Vassar View participants are provided with on-campus accommodations, meals, and transportation. Modes of transportation to Vassar may vary depending on the student’s point of departure and may involve plane, train, bus or car. Limited travel assistance is available. We are unable to provide transportation assistance for students or family members visiting campus for other admission events.

Vassar View is open to seniors from traditionally underrepresented groups in higher education: Asian, Black, Latino/a, and/or Native American (ALANA); and students who are the first in their family to pursue a four-year college education. 

The Vassar View 2016 application is now available, click here. Students interested in participating are urged to submit a completed application with required documents as soon as possible because admission to the program is made on a rolling basis and space is limited.

A completed application includes:
  • Current high school transcript with courses and grades from freshman year through current year which may be uploaded via the application, faxed to (845) 437-7063 or emailed to VassarView@Vassar.edu.
  • List of 12th grade classes
  • Responses to short answer questions
  • Self Reported test scores (SAT, ACT, PLAN, or PSAT)

All students interested in participating in Vassar View should submit their completed application no later than Friday, September 9, 2016.
