Jewett House
Jewett's most famous resident was poet Edna St. Vincent Millay, class of 1917, who was apparently a bit of a hell-raiser and almost didn't graduate because she got caught sneaking out of her dorm for a midnight tryst the week before commencement. The second largest residence on campus, housing 235 students, Jewett recently underwent a substantial renovation, finished in 2003. The Master Plan for Residential Life will eventually update all of Vassar dorms while preserving their architectural integrity.
