New England Building

Did you see the recent remake of "The Time Machine?" The opening scene—all of about 30 seconds—was filmed in New England Building and features about 100 Vassar students as extras, rushing down the stairs as the dismissal bell rings. Originally built for the sciences, New England is now home to several multi-disciplinary programs—American culture, women's studies, Africana studies, and Vassar's newest multi-disciplinary program, Environmental Studies.
