Early Decision Financial Aid Checklist
Canadian Citizens

  • Keep a file copy of all documents you submit.
  • Write your name and date of birth in the upper right hand corner of all documents you send to the college.
  • Comply with all deadlines for the best chance of receiving financial aid.
  • Send all documents to:
    Office of Financial Aid

    Poughkeepsie, NY 12604-0008
  • Register for the College Scholarship Service (CSS) PROFILE by October 15 for Early Decision I or by December 1 for Early Decision II.
  • Complete and submit your PROFILE application by November 1 for Early Decision I or by December 15 for Early Decision II.
  • File your federal and provincial income tax returns (yours and your parents) as soon as possible after January 1. Send signed copies of your return and your parents’ returns, including all pages and schedules, to the Office of Financial Aid.

Additional Requirements for Special Circumstances

Noncustodial Parent’s Statement: If your parents are divorced or separated, your noncustodial parent must complete this form (download it here) and mail it along with his/her most recent signed federal tax return (all pages, schedules, and W2s) to the Office of Financial Aid at the above address. Deadline: Early Decision I – November 15 / Early Decision II – January 1

Business of Farm Supplement:If your family holds an interest in a business or farm, you just submit a form (download it here) for each business or farm in which they hold an interest. If there are corporations or partnerships, attach copies of the most recent business tax returns. Send the supplement and returns to the Office of Financial Aid at the above address. Deadline: Early Decision I – November 15 / Early Decision II – January 1
